I wish Tesla opened their doors for tours by the general public. Just a shareholder, not an owner (BMW i3). I like visiting various industries that have factory tours (JellyBelly, Coke, BMW) for the public. It’s a good PR move to allow people to see the awesomeness in person. Heck, charge people and I bet people would pay.

I could not find anything on the company site, but I did send an email to their ‘contact us’ email address. I was not sure if the public can take a tour, or if this is only open to Tesla owners. Does anyone known if tours are open, and how to book a tour?

Wow, already received a reply from the Tesla Team (that was really fast)! So the age and height rule only applies to the actual factory tour. Our youngest can come with us to the factory and join the other activities. Since there is no daycare at the factory, my wife and I will just have to swap staying with the youngest and taking the tour.
