Germany captain Giulia Gwinn has been ruled out of the rest of the Women’s European Championship with a knee injury.

Germany will without their influential captain Giulia Gwinn for the rest of women's Euro 2025 due to a left knee injury, which however is not as serious as initially feared. The national federation DFB on X said that an MRI scan in Zurich on Saturday revealed that Gwinn "suffered a medial collateral ligament injury to her left knee yesterday in the match against Poland.

Gwinn, 26, underwent a scan on Saturday after being forced off in the first half of Germany's group stage opener against Poland.
