A Vermont man was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence after police said he crashed his car into a home in South Burlington. The South Burlington Police Department arrested 33-year-old Taylor Harris after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a home at the intersection of Hinesburg Road and Market Street.

Police investigating fatal Vermont house fire
Firefighters found a body inside the home and called in the Vermont State Police to assist. Troopers say their investigation into the fire and the person’s death is still underway, but so far nothing indicates the incident is suspicious.
On Friday, 23-year-old Jaykob Fagans, of Burlington, Vermont, was arrested outside of the Miracle Mile shopping plaza. Unemployment claims in Vermont declined last week
Initial filings for unemployment benefits in Vermont dropped last week compared with the week prior, the U.S. Department of Labor said Thursday. New jobless claims, a proxy for layoffs, fell to 425 in the week ending January 18, down from 615 the week before, the Labor Department said.
