By John Revill BASEL, Switzerland (Reuters) -Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Swiss host city Basel on Saturday, in the country's first victory since bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won in 2014.

Austria’s entrant, JJ, took the prize after a tense count that was neck-and-neck until the last votes were revealed.

The Grand Final was overshadowed by a failed stage invasion during a performance by Israeli singer and entrant Yuval Raphael.
