Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has admitted he believed there was little chance of remaining at Liverpool, revealing that contract talks initially made a renewal seem highly unlikely.

Liverpool dedicated an end-of-season summer party to Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of his departure from Anfield. Alexander-Arnold confirmed earlier this month that he was leaving the Premier League champions at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Alexander-Arnold's every touch was booed by a significant number of fans inside Anfield during last Sunday's game with Arsenal.
