A 17-year-old named Victor Ramirez Jr. was shot and killed in Charlotte, continuing a local spate of violence.

Just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 100 block of Winding Path Way about an assault with a deadly weapon.

A suspect is known but no charges are being filed, police said, calling the shooting an “unfortunate situation between family members.”

CHARLOTTE — Police are investigating a homicide after a shooting in west Charlotte early Saturday morning, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say. CMPD says they found a person with gunshot wounds in a parking lot around 2:40 a.m. on Freedom Drive. They were pronounced dead on the scene by MEDIC.

Around 3 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 100 block of Winding Path Way near East 10th Street. When police arrived, they located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department returned to a west Charlotte street for a shooting call Tuesday morning just a day after another shooting on the same street. Officers responded to Columbus Circle just after midnight, and Channel 9 saw investigators blocking the area with crime scene tape.

Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Friday morning in west Charlotte. MEDIC said one person was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound after the shooting on Beatties Ford Road. It happened around 4:15 a.m. Friday. The shooting was reported near the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Metro Division office.
