More than 400 personnel were assigned to fight the fire, including hotshot crews and hand crews. A flight restriction was in place for the fire zone.

Fire crews are continuing to battle the Greer Fire, which has burned more than 10,000 acres since Tuesday.

There will be easier fire starts and the potential for quicker fire spreads in eastern Arizona because of gusty winds up to 44 mph, dry fuels and low humidity present, the weather service said.
