The Lawrence, Indiana, Police Department has released bodycam footage detailing the moments that led up to an altercation between officers and a man they were trying to arrest this week.

The Lawrence Police Department is investigating an arrest that occurred outside a Walmart in east Indianapolis on Monday afternoon after footage of the arrest began circulating online that depicted two officers using force on the man being detained.

William Jerome Armstrong was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of a Walmart after police say they saw his car parked in an emergency fire lane.
