Wichita, Kansas took the top spot, based on factors of tree, grass and weed pollen scores throughout the year, over-the-counter allergy medicine use and availability of allergy doctors nearby. New Orleans and Oklahoma City came in at second and third, respectively.

Pollen exposure is lasting longer and intensifying nationwide, data shows, as warmer temperatures take over more of the year. But for some areas, the changes are more dramatic.

Allergy sufferers, beware. Some cities are worse than others when it comes to seasonal allergies. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America ranks the worst cities for seasonal allergies every year.
