Philadelphia police say a man and an officer were waiting for an ambulance when a fight erupted and ended with a deadly officer-involved shooting.

Police say they responded to a man who was stabbed and walking in the roadway early Monday morning. A physical altercation ensued, then an officer discharged his weapon.

The 36-year-old man was fatally shot at the I-95 ramp to the Philadelphia International Airport, police said. A Philadelphia police officer shot and killed a man who got into a physical struggle with another officer on the southbound ramp of I-95 early Monday, police said.
