A body found in Lake Pontchartrain Thursday morning was discovered near the area where the Coast Guard has been searching for a missing boater, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The body was found by the 2000 block of Lakeshore Drive just after 6 a.m., police said.

N EW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Coast Guard has recovered the body of a missing boater in Lake Pontchartrain, concluding an overnight search that began late Wednesday (July 2). Search and rescue teams located the body of Joseph Grice, 51, of Metairie, around 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, in Orleans Parish, near the 2000 block of Lakeshore Drive.
