Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the cover athlete of NBA 2K26 following his MVP and title-winning season, the video game's developer announced Tuesday. Last season's scoring champ and finals MVP will be featured on the game’s standard edition. He averaged 32.7 points, 6.4 assists and five rebounds per game, leading the Thunder to a 68-14 record.

Last year, Celtics star Jayson Tatum was named the cover athlete after winning the NBA championship with Boston. The prior years displayed Kobe Bryant for 2K24, Devin Booker for 2K23, Dončić for 2K22, and Damian Lillard for 2K21.

It has been a magical year for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and the Oklahoma City Thunder guard can add another line to his ever-growing list of accomplishments after NBA 2K announced Tuesday he will grace the cover of the upcoming NBA 2K26 Standard Edition.
