A woman who was standing next to a car after a crash was killed when she was struck by a vehicle involved in a second crash on Interstate 95 in Broward early Monday. Florida Highway Patrol officials said the incident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 north of Oakland Park Boulevard shortly before 6 a.

The crash occurred around 7 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the Oakland Park Boulevard exit in Broward County, leading authorities to close all northbound lanes of the highway. A person involved in the crash told Florida Highway Patrol troopers that a woman also involved in the crash got out of her car and was struck by a vehicle while they were talking,
